Leo Goetz, age 57, passed away on Aug. 11, 2012. He was born on November 30, 1955 to Leo W. and Mary “Mamie” (nee Wolf) Goetz. Leo was one of 10 children and the father of 4 children Tino Goetz, Stacey (John) Sanders, Leo (Nicole) Goetz and Brittany Goetz. Leo is survived by his siblings Marian Fassbender, Leona (Frank) Collelo, Shirley (Ron) Lisiecki, Danny (Carol) Goetz, Nancy (Corky) Neu, Tom (Jean) Goetz, Margie Thoma, and Jane Schoedel and Mary Rose Yarley. Leo loved his family and truly enjoyed spending time with his 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 65 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
During his past time, Leo enjoyed playing softball and was an umpire at Pioneer Bowl. Leo loved all sports including bowling and took part as a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress. When not playing or watching sports, Leo enjoyed gardening and visiting Vegas. Leo is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerome “Buddy” Klippel and in-laws, Al Fassbender, Roger Schoedel, Larry Thoma and Charlie Yarley.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Mary Rose for all her love and support.
